MCI GROUP president Robin Lokerman has been nominated to the Events Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders.
Entry to the Hall of Fame is considered the Washington DC-based global advocacy group’s “onetime achievement award” and is granted to pioneers who have advanced the industry and whose work has shaped the entire sector.
“Recipients of this award are recognised for their achievements of lasting value,m including the development of original ideas and innovations in services and training for use in the industry and to the welfare of others,” a spokesperson for MCI said.
Lokerman has been a cornerstone of MCI Group’s success since 2007,” the MCI statement continued. “He is jointly responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the group. His work has been instrumental in driving our expansion beyond Europe, leading to impressive growth in the Asia-Pacific, Americas, and EMEA regions.
“Day-to-day, Robin consults for associations on strategic planning, board assessment, and global growth strategies, and works with several leading industries at the forefront of knowledge exchange.”
Other nominees to the 2024 Hall of Leaders are listed by the Events Industry Council as Cathy Breden, executive vide-president and COO of International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE); event tech influencer Julius Solaris; Greg O’Dell, formerly of Events DC, and William Reed, of the American Society of Hematology and past PCMA chair.
