MyCEB’s Business Events Week to hear of new support for planners, nurturing future leaders and creating job opportunities

MALAYSIA Business Events Week is set to reveal the latest support programme from the nation’s convention bureau aimed at attracting more international groups.

“Riding the Waves” is the theme of the MBEW 2023, which takes place at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, August 21-26, is expected to be attended by 400 organisers from associations, event agencies, PCOs, exhibition companies and more.

Tiong King Sing, Malaysia’s minister for tourism, arts and culture, is due to open MBEW 2023.

Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) says the wave theme reflects the fostering of a strong regional spirit that triggers a “sequence of positive impacts on Southeast Asia’s sustainable socio-economic growth”.

Details of MyCEB’s new support scheme for business event planners are expected to be announced at MBEW 2023 with the overall aim of boosting the country’s MICE industry and increasing employment opportunities.

MyCEB also plans to introduce a B2B exchange to discuss the International Journal of Business Events and Legacies initiative. The Business Events National Challenge 2023, designed to nurture future industry leaders, is also set to be showcased.
