Infrastructure & service at the helm of new TCEB campaign

The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau has spearheaded a new campaign for 2016 which focusses on the key pillars of Thailand’s MICE business, says the bureau.

The campaign, which is called “Thailand Connect… Our Heart, Your World”, will focus on Thailand’s unique position within the Asean block, promoting the country as a business hub that is “at the heart” of the emerging southeast Asian region.

Infrastructure, business opportunities and the people of Thailand are the three features that TCEB is promoting in the 2016 campaign, highlighting 42 MICE-certified venues, corporate benefits for planners and services rendered by local MICE professionals.

TCEB will launch the new campaign next month at IBTM World in Barcelona, following a recent coalition with IBTM Events as the organisation’s global partner.

“IBTM World will be a stage to boost confidence in Thailand within the international business community,” said president of TCEB Nopparat Maythaveekulcha of the partnership. “It will also highlight Thailand’s myriad landscapes, [which] provide wondrous places to discover, and our destinations offer creatively curated experiences and untapped opportunities for organisers, delegates and visitors with  a dynamic, fast-growing economy. Thailand is also a springboard to its rapidly emerging neighbours in ASEAN and the Greater Mekong sub-region as well as the country’s signature Thai service, renowned throughout the world, while high standards nationwide add seamless professionalism."

Thailand has secured a number of large-scale events for the 2016 fiscal year, including the F6 Global Convention 2015, the 54th OSEAL Forum Program, the Organo Gold Asia Convention and the 3rd Asia Pacific Glaucoma Congress 2016.

The bureau has announced that it expects to welcome 1,036,300 business events next year, projecting a value of US$3,029 million to the Thai economy.
