Hybrid ITCMA-CTW charts 2023 strategies

IT&CM and CTW Asia-Pacific’s 30th edition ended its first hybrid show with more than 1,200 online and in-person delegates, 363 exhibitors, 27 destination representatives, along with 414 buyers participating in the Bangkok-based event.

The opening keynote was presented by Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, president of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) shared insights on how business events should progress and the value of “phygital” – a combination of physical and digital events, embedded wellness, and inclusive events for a diverse audience.

A panel (main picture) with Max Boontawee Jantasuwan, president of SITE Thailand Chapter; Waikin Wong, regional director Asia Pacific of ICCA; and moderated by Karen Yue, group editor of TTG, the publishing company which organised the event, explored the changes faced by business event and travel organisers during the pandemic and discussed the strategies on moving forward.

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) hosted the opening ceremony and welcome reception for the three-day event.

Destination representatives participating included MEET Taiwan, Tourism Promotions Board, Philippines, Promotion Bureau of the Principality of Monaco – Asia, Korea Tourism Organisation, along with the city of Incheon and Gyeonggi province.
