Hogwarts comes to Marina Bay Sands

SINGAPORE Marina Bay Sands continues to strengthen its position as a must-visit destination in the Lion City for corporate groups by opening up a number of not-to-be-missed attractions.

On June 2, Harry Potter: The Exhibition will make its debut in Asia at the integrated resort's ArtScience Museum.

“ArtScience Museum is the museum of creativity, and Harry Potter is one of the most creative cultural works of recent years. The Harry Potter experience crosses the boundaries between the arts of writing and the technologies of filmmaking; it is therefore a perfect alignment with our vision,” said Nick Dixon, executive director of the ArtScience Museum. “As the fervor for Harry Potter continues to rise, we wanted to better enhance the museum going experience for all visitors to the exhibition.”

The interactive exhibition will display fan favourites like Harry’s wand and eyeglasses, the Marauder’s Map, Gryffindor school uniforms and a collection of Quidditch equipment. There are also creatures indigenous to the magical world on show like Buckbeak the Hippogriff, a Hungarian Horntail Dragon, a centaur and even a giant Acromantula.

The show’s stop at Singapore will even feature a model of Nagini, Lord Voldemort’s serpent and an important factor in the finale of the series, for the first time – alongside a vast array of props and costumes for the main protagonist of the series.

These items and many others will all be housed in immersive themed settings that are inspired by the iconic locations in the Harry Potter series.

According to Damien Sim, communications officer for Marina Bay Sands, for every 25 tickets purchased in bulk, each ticket will get a 25 percent discount, bringing the price down from SG$28 (US$22) to SG$21 (US$17).

To take advantage of this promotion, please email museumgroupbooking@marinabaysands.com as it will not apply to walk-in purchases.
