HONG KONG Meeting planners and delegates can now check the list of events and other information about the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on their Android smartphones.
The mobile app, which was launched on the iPhone last November, has been expanded to cover the Android platform. It is available in three languages – English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese and can be downloaded free of charge at Google Play or the iTunes App Store.
“We are proud and excited to be one of the first exhibition venues in the region to offer this new communication channel. The HKCEC app now puts information about the HKCEC and its events right at the fingertips of our users and visitors," said Ms Monica Lee-Müller, HKCEC deputy managing director.
"This new initiative is part of our commitment to continuously enhancing our services, and caters directly to the increasing population of smartphone users in Hong Kong and worldwide.”
Functions like the Event Calendar, which lists major upcoming exhibitions, conferences and special events, provide a value-added experience for visitors who are or will be attending an event at the centre.
The HKCEC mobile app includes features such as a transportation guide providing directions to HKCEC and other key locations, as well as a dining guide which lists various restaurants in and around HKCEC.
