Hiroshima prepares for Asia’s first INORMS Congress

Research managers from across the globe will be flocking to Hiroshima, Japan come 2020 for the Asia debut of the International Networking of Research Management Societies (INORMS) Congress.

Hiroshima University has won the bid for the May 2020 edition of the congress with backing from Hiroshima Convention & Visitors Bureau and the City of Hiroshima.

The three parties have been working together to attract more conferences to Hiroshima since entering into the Agreement on Partnership and Co-operation in 2015.

Marking the event’s entry into Asia, INORMS 2020 is hoped to draw greater participation from the region than previous editions.

Themed “Promoting Diversity in Research and Research Management Collaborations: More Transnational, More Trans-disciplinary, More Trans-sectoral”, the congress is due to take place May 25-28, 2020.

INORMS was launched in 2001 to unite research management societies and associations.
