Buyers look beyond Covid

IT&CMA – CTW Asia-Pacific Virtual reveals more buyers with participants keen to keep ahead of trends as they lay groundwork for conference and incentive travel once restrictions lift

AN INCENTIVE organiser is using upcoming virtual tradeshows to plan trips despite prevailing uncertainty surrounding the pandemic.

Alcon Japan is among more than 300 buyers that have signed up for IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific Virtual, November 16-20.

“We are starting to plan for our sales incentive trips in 2022 and 2023,” said Tomomi Kondo, senior meeting planner with Alcon.

“This event is thus timely for us to explore suitable destinations and hotels.”

Other buyers are also looking beyond the Covid pandemic by using the conferencing and networking provided by IT&CMA to keep up with industry developments.

“I believe I will learn new trends following this pandemic and continue to connect with the community virtually,” said Allroy Augustine Collaco, assistant general secretary of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

How to host virtual brainstorms

On November 18, Padraic Gilligan, chief marketing officer of SITE, presents “Our Roadmap for Recovery: What incentive travel Professional Can Learn from ITII”.

Karen Bolinger will present “Bringing Strategies to Life: Insights from PCMA’s Business Events Compass” on November 19, while ICCA is scheduled to host a seminar the following day.
