September will see Brisbane host some 1,500 incentive qualifiers from global nutrition company Herbalife – a first for the Queensland state.
The news follows the recent announcement that Brisbane will host Dreamtime 2017, Tourism Australia’s signature incentive showcase, in December.
Herbalife's Future President’s Team Retreat (Asia-Pacific) is taking place September 16-20, and will inject an estimated A$3.9million (about US$3m) into the economy, according to Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk (right).
Quirk says the double win proves Brisbane is “primed to capture a greater share of the global business events and incentives market”.
Speaking at the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo 2017, Brisbane Convention Bureau general manager Rob Nelson (left) said that the Herbalife group “will experience the best that our welcoming and vibrant city has to offer, from a convention centre voted ‘best in the world’ to unique attractions and entertainment offering that quintessential Australian experience”.
Participants, comprising Herbalife's top executives from across Asia-Pacific, will attend a series of leadership training meetings and engage in a range of lifestyle and leisure experiences in and around Brisbane.
