Mozaic Hotels and Resorts has officially opened a brand new conference facility at the Bintan Lagoon Resort, Indonesia. The 2915 sqm ballroom opened for business this week with a 350-person strong Singaporean incentive group. The space, dubbed the ‘Great Hall’, is a pillar-less venue with a total capacity for 1,300 guests.

The new development is situated within the manicured tropical gardens of Bintan Lagoon Resort and guests can access the luxury hotel’s 473 deluxe rooms and first-class leisure facilities. Integrated with the resort complex, the Great Hall also has space for up to 500 guests in the hotel foyer and up to 200 people on a second floor outdoor terrace.

The Bintan Lagoon Resort is the only green resort in Southeast Asia, having been awarded silver certification by the United States Green Building Council. With two championship level 18 hole golf courses, over 2km of beachfront and 12 restaurants, the resort is already among the most popular incentive destinations on the island of Bintan.

Singapore is just 75 minutes away by sea and the Bintan Lagoon Resort is the only hotel on the island to have a direct ferry service making it a prime choice for the Lion City’s business and incentive groups. This new conference space is set to capitalise on the location and adds a new element to attract meeting groups to the venue. Robert Ramey, managing director of Mozaic Hotels & Resorts said: “We are thrilled to have incepted Bintan Island’s newest and most sophisticated international conference centre. We have about 20 groups and events lined up to book our venue by year end.”
