HANGZHOU Banyan Tree Hangzhou, located within the renowned Xixi natural reserve, is positioning its 72 suites and villas as an idyllic retreat for corporate groups hosting offsite meetings and incentives programmes. The resort has launched its "Extraordinary Meetings by the Wetland", a package that enables meeting planners to choose the themes and configurations of their itinerary.
Companies, booking at least eight rooms per night, are allowed three options from a list of 10 meeting and leisure offerings. These include 25 per cent discount on meeting room rentals, a complimentary meeting rate for every 16 paying guests, free use of one LCD projector, fresh fruit platters and free flow of coffee and tea. The value-added options also include a complimentary tour of the Xixi Wetland Park, a RMB200 (US$32) spa credit for each delegate and a 15 per cent discount on food at the resort's restaurants.
Furthermore, a special offer of one complimentary overnight stay in a Water View Villa with three buffet breakfasts is guaranteed for meeting planners who book the Extraordinary Meetings by the Wetland package 30 days in advance.
The package is available until June 30, 2013.
The Jiang Nan-style resort is just 15 minutes drive from West Lake and downtown Hangzhou. A maximum group size of 100 people can do a buy-out of the resort.
The property's 200 sqm ballroom has floor-to-ceiling windows and a space to comfortably host 150 guests for cocktails or 100 guests for sit-down dinners. It also has a tastefully designed boardroom with a capacity for 14 participants.
