SITE Australia-New Zealand chapter president Colette Baini thought journeying from Sydney to Ireland for the SITE Global Conference to represent her chapter of incentive-travel organisers was enough of a highlight – until she was called to the stage during an awards evening.
Baini accepted accolades on behalf of her chapter at the SITE Global Conference in Dublin. SITE ANZ received the SITE Chapter Excellence Award in Membership for providing “incredible value for members over the qualifying period”.
The chapter also received The Rising Star Award, which goes to a developing chapter that delivers exceptional benefits to its members across several key areas. SITE ANZ was also recognised for its work in sustainability.

Baini took to the stage at The Convention Centre Dublin in front of more than 300 delegates from around the world during the global conference, which was held April 20-22, and said there was strong interest in Australia and New Zealand at the event as incentive travel destinations as border controls ease.
“There has been nothing but positive comments about the opportunities for the incentive travel sector at this conference and winning these awards in front of such an esteemed audience has made this journey so worthwhile,” she said.

Fáilte Ireland, the Emerald Isle’s tourism board, said the SITE (Global Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) Global Conference was worth an estimated US$38.6 million to the Irish economy while incentive travel globally generates an annual spend of more than $78 billion.
