PROFESSIONAL congress organisers’ association IAPCO made a return to Jakarta with a seminar aimed at empowering Indonesia’s business events leaders.
The three-day Hosted EDGE Seminar was co-hosted by Pacto-Convex and the Tourism Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN Indonesia), took place at the newly opened Nusantara International Convention Exhibition in the PIK2 area of Jakarta.

The seminar, designed and delivered by the IAPCO Training Academy, blended interactive learning with practical application, equipping participants with techniques and insights to compete on the global stage.
Topics at the November 26-28 seminar ranged from international standards and emerging trends to strategies for managing world-class events.
“Delivering IAPCO education in Indonesia is about more than sharing global best practice, it’s about unlocking local potential and empowering event professionals to lead with confidence on the world stage,” said Stephen Noble, Chair of the IAPCO Training Academy.
Indonesia has long been on IAPCO’s radar, with the association first introducing training programmes there in the late 1980s. The association said this latest seminar in Jakarta underscored its commitment to capacity building and sustained professional growth for professional congress organisers (PCOs) across Asia Pacific.
IAPCO said that by partnering with national organisations and leveraging a state-of-the-art venue like Nusantara International Convention Exhibition, training seminars helped strengthen Indonesia’s business events community while deepening its ties to the global meetings industry – a move that gave Jakarta greater potential to be a hub for international conferences.
