THAILAND’S first 360-degree immersive LED wall in a hotel ballroom has opened as part of a new conference and events development at the Chiang Mai Marriott.
The Plaii Ballroom and Plaii Hybrid Meetings & Entertainment Complex was announced by Asset World Corporation, the property’s owners, and Marriott Hotels.

Plaii Ballroom is Thailand’s first 360-degree immersive LED ballroom, said a spokesperson for Marriott. The 84 metre wraparound LED display has a green height of 6.24 metres while the ballroom is a pillarless 400sqm.
The name Plaii is inspired by the Thai Royal Elephant and has deep cultural significance in northern Thailand.
Marriott said Plaii’s launch reinforced Chiang Mai’s position as a rising regional hub for business events and experiential travel in line with Thailand’s growing influence within Asia’s MICE landscape.
The Plaii complex consists of a three-storey integrated event and lifestyle destination anchored by the Plaii Ballroom with 11 meeting rooms, executive breakout suites, and a naturally illuminated Mingle Space for networking.

It said the launch has also generated strong interest from domestic and regional markets, particularly South Korea and Greater China.
