Groups feel above it all in the SkyOrb

DELEGATES visiting Singapore’s Sentosa are being offered sky-high experiences featuring amazing views from new cabins on the Mount Faber Cable Car system.

From mid-November, Mount Faber Leisure Group will be adding 13 Swiss-made SkyOrb cabins to its fleet as the company plans to extend its leisure offerings to business event groups.

Mount Faber exhibited at ITB Asia with other suppliers operating in Sentosa and across Singapore with commercial director Jennifer Wong telling MIX of how groups can view the island getaway from a unique vantage point.

“Each SkyOrb cabin of the new fleet can house six persons comfortably and the window design gives great views of lush natural scenery below from the glass-bottomed floor and of Singapore and its cruise areas from the side,” Wong said.

The cabins were exclusively designed for Mount Faber Leisure Group and give passengers views – from high above – of Mount Faber Peak, Singapore Harbourfront, and Sentosa.

Organisers have the option of using Mount Faber’s restaurant and event space with options for more dining and meetings across Sentosa. A partnership with award-winning Chef Mathew Leong, who has created a three-course dinner as part of a cable-car package, elevates the delegate experience to even greater heights.

“The SkyOrb experience can commence or conclude a post-conference itinerary to Sentosa. The service can be combined with cocktails, as part of  post-dinner itinerary or in spousal programmes,” Wong said.

Sights and attractions along the way include Imbiah Lookout and, for even loftier views, the “high-energy” SkyHelix Sentosa. Excursions and events on Siloso Beach can also be factored into itineraries.

Hotel accommodation on Sentosa can match various budgets while Mount Faber’s plans for MICE groups extend to arranging space at its outlets for corporate logos to be displayed.
