Thailand Exhibition Association has appointed Loy Joon How as its new president.
Loy is general manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management – which operates the largest business events venue in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
He brings four decades of exhibitions industry experience, of which 18 years has been with IMPACT, and takes over presidency of Thailand Exhibition Association from Panittha Buri, vice-chair of Bhiraj Buri Group, the developer Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Over the last two years, Loy has served on the association’s executive committee as its vice president and promoted Thailand exhibition industry’s best practices with the global exhibition community, among other duties.
He is also on the board of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibitions Industry, is an advisor to Thailand Incentive and Convention Association, and previously held directorship on the Thai-Singapore Chamber of Commerce board.

A statement issued by IMPACT said Loy would be developing, directing, and bringing economic growth through new business opportunities while at the helm of Thailand Exhibition Association. Creating events and networking activities will also be a key part of the role alongside international marketing efforts and advocating important policies to upgrade the exhibitions industry in Thailand.
Enhancing the adaptation of technologies and innovations to upgrade industry standards through education, training, resource sharing, would also be a crucial part of the role, IMPACT said, alongside “championing the introduction of eco-friendly exhibitions and best green practices to offset the industry’s carbon footprint and reduce waste”.
