TRAVEL publications giant Northstar is launching a new show in Singapore next month which will be co-located with The Meetings Show Asia Pacific.

Business Travel Show Asia Pacific sees Northstar’s BTN brand debuting a regional version of its European event to the world’s fastest growing corporate travel market.
The European show has been running for 30 years and has become the continent’s leading corporate travel business event, according to organisers BTN Group.
The Meetings Show Asia Pacific opened in Singapore last year and represented the event’s first foray into the region after pre-Covid success in London. MIX understands that Northstar was seeking to double the show’s floorspace at Marina Bay Sands Singapore
Organisers say the debut of Business Travel Show Asia Pacific will bring 200-plus corporate travel buyers from Asia Pacific, the UK, United States and Europe to Marina Bay Sands, April 16-17, for a programme of sourcing, networking and industry seminars.

More than 50 “top-tier exhibitors” representing airlines, hotels, travel management companies, tech providers and ground transport services including Oneworld, Wings, Wego, Amex GBT, BCD, Amex Card, Emburse among others aer also set to attend.
BTN is also set to debut Business Travel Show America in New York in October this year.
THERE’S GOING TO BE A FACEOFF
The event will host a ‘Business Travel Innovation Faceoff’ showcasing solutions set to revolutionise” corporate travel, according to organisers. There will also be an Asia Pacific version of the Travel Buyer of the Year Award, which has been running in Europe for three decades.Winners of both the Business Travel Innovation Face Off and the APAC Travel Buyer of the Year Award will be presented in the Knowledge Arena on the second day of the show.
Finalists for the Business Travel Innovation Faceoff will be announced soon, while Travel Buyer of the Year Award are confirmed as:

A spokesperson said the launch of Business Travel Show Asia Pacific was a milestone for the region’s corporate travel industry and a critical platform for fostering knowledge-sharing, networking and growth for industry professionals.
“The Asia Pacific region is the world’s fastest-growing corporate travel market with spending expected to reach $900 billion this year and the region’s diversity presenting opportunities and challenges for travel providers,” BTN said.
Corporate travel and buyers are invited to participate in the show’s hosted buyer programme.
BTN said 16 free-to-attend sessions on topics such as sustainability, traveller experience, technology, supplier sourcing, resilience, cost-cutting, and innovation have been organised. Speakers from Avis Budget Group, MSD International, IKEA, Rheinmetall, Crisis24, HN Consulting, Align Tech have been signed up.
