GERMANY-BASED exhibition consultancy JWC has been selected to develop the “master plan” for the second phase of Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.
JWC, founded by former UFI president Jochen Witt, will be working with Chinese partners on the contract. Services will cover strategy development, key management functions, operations and the layout of the extension, which forms part of a massive event complex near the city’s international airport.

The consultancy had previously managed Shenzhen World’s feasibility study and pre-opening support for the venue in 2016.
“We are very happy that we have been awarded by the Government of Shenzhen to develop the next phase of Shenzhen World,” Witt, who is also JWC’s chief executive, said.
“We continue to view China as one of the most important trade fair and conference markets globally and will further expand our activities in the areas of strategy and venue consulting.”
