Langham’s 24-hour tea-party people
Opera stars, master chefs, artists, calligraphers, musicians and photographers are set to headline a 24-hour livestream for The Langham 155th anniversary.
The international live event, being held tomorrow, June 10, will feature original content by 17 Langham hotels from around the world.
The livestream will kick off in Melbourne and Sydney (2pm, Australian Eastern Standard Time) before it moves on to Hong Kong, mainland China and Jakarta, before the UK and North America.
The event will be streamed on The Langham Hotels & Resorts Facebook page, WeChat (TheLanghamHotels) and Weibo (www.weibo.com/thelanghamhotel).

‘Germaphobic normality’
SITE holds another webinar for incentive travel professionals, this time entitled – Germaphobic is a New Normal, on Friday, June 12, 10am Bangkok time.
Panelists include Andrew Hiebl, CEO of the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux; Benjamin King, cluster general manager with Novotel Bangkok and GM with Thailand for isd-scale and economy. And Richard Soo, of @Creative Marketing, Meetings and Exhibition Planners (MEP).
The panel will discuss how hotels and can assure event and incentive planners and reinstall confidence in the business travel industry.

Exhibition organiser association UFI holds a “Female Leadership in the Exhibitions Industry – How to Help Women Become More Successful Professionally’ webinar tomorrow (Wednesday), at 9pm HK/SGP time.
UFI President Mary Larkin, president of Diversified Communications USA, Debbie Stanford-Kristiansen CEO of Novo Cinemas in the UAE and Cliff Wallace, senior executive advisor of Shenyang New World EXPO and former UFI president will be on the panel.

PATA Dares to Dream
Pacific Asia Travel Association is launching a Dream to Travel Festival, an online event that brings together travel trade businesses worldwide to learn, network, and celebrate the power of travel during these challenging times.
The virtual event, unifying the travel trade through the infinite possibilities of the digital experience, will run for four weeks across time, space and borders from June 22 to July 17.
Each week of the festival is dedicated to a specific theme (Trust, Courage, Wellbeing and Infinite Possibilities) and to a specific destination. PATA is working with destination partners the Macau Government Tourism Office, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Tourism Malaysia. The fourth destination will be announced shortly.
To gain further information about the event and how to participate, PATA will be organising a webinar today (June 9), 3pm Bangkok time called “Introduction to the PATA Dream to Travel Festival”. Participants will learn more about joining the festival, showcasing their products and participating in the virtual sessions.
Access to the webinar is open to both PATA members, non-members and all interested parties.
