Held at the Garden Hotel, Guangzhou, the American Chamber of Commerce hosted a winter ball with the theme “Madagascar-Party in the Wild”. More than 500 guests were immersed in an African safari experience complete with animal print decor, traditional Malagasy dance, costumes with colourful feathers and African drumming. Guests 'trekked’ from the lobby through a makeshift jungle, under a famous Madagascar Baobab tree toward the Grand Ballroom.
Guests enjoyed Western fare as well as traditional Malagasy dishes, featuring courses named after African animals. African-themed dance performance followed as entertainment together with a live band.
