WUXI In light of the summer peak season, China Eastern Airlines has launched a twice-weekly service between Wuxi and Jeju island in South Korea, which will run until August 31.
Deploying an Airbus A320 on this route, the carrier operates the flight on Tuesday and Saturday. Departure time from Wuxi is set at 1930 with arrival in Jeju at 2140. The return flight leaves at 2250 and lands back in Wuxi at 2310.
Jeju has expanded its horizons from a leisure to a business events destination with meeting and conference facilities such as the ICC Jeju, which allows the large-scale groups to hold events on the island.

With its pristine environment and natural beauty, it has become a popular incentives destination particularly among Asian groups.
The China Eastern service summer service to the island aims to serve a spike of traffic to the island in the next several weeks.
Latest figures from the Jeju Government showed the increase in Chinese visitors is propelling to the growth of overseas arrivals to the destination. From January to May this year, more than 290,000 travellers arrived from the Mainland, already surpassing the 2011 figures which was recorded at 105,710.
