ADELAIDE Convention Centre general manager Simon Burgess has swapped roles to take the helm at the National Wine Centre of Australia.
Burgess moves across the city after nearly 10 years at Adelaide Convention Centre where he oversaw the venue’s development as the hub of the city’s conference precinct with the hosting of key international events.

“Simon has local, national and international experience that will be a huge asset as we strengthen Adelaide’s reputation as a global wine and business events destination,” the National Wine Centre of Australia said in a social media post this week.
Burgess replaces general manager Jason Bird who becomes chief operating officer at Adelaide’s Morphettville Racecourse.
