Hong Kong exhibitions industry celebrates 35-year milestone

HKECIA’s annual dinner is traditionally preceded by a conference that airs new trends and developments before the serious business of a sumptuous buffet, entertainment and prize draws begins!

A ‘FIRESIDE CHAT’ between veteran television presenter Bernard Lo and Stuart Bailey, the chairman of Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Industry Association, was a highlight of  HKECIA’s annual  conference. Each year the conference rounds off a day of business for the association before cocktails are served in the foyer and delegates enter an adjoining ballroom at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for a gala dinner.

The conference also provided a preview of a major event for the international exhibitions industry when the UFI  Global Congress comes to Hong Kong in November. Dennis Wong, general manager for business development at AsiaWorld-Expo, outlined how the venue will host delegates and the role played by the airport city development taking shape on AWE’s doorstep.
