On August 26 runners from across the globe will participate in the China World Summit Wing, Beijing Vertical Run 2017. Running enthusiasts have signed up for this exhilarating race, but it is the vertical-running powerhouses who will form the elite category of this year’s event.
Do you think you can handle 330 metres, 82 floors, or 2,041 steps of vertically challenging fun? If so, and you wish to go head to head with the current reigning world champion, Piotr Lobodzinski, who won last year’s male elite division with a time of 9 minutes and 47 seconds, then registration for the event have officially begun. Don’t hesitate because space is limited. But remember, this is one of the most intense vertical races on the planet, just behind New York’s One World Trade Center and Hong Kong’s International Commerce Centre.
The elite winners of the event will take home a total of US$5,000, while the fastest amateur male and female climbers will have a chance to win a free round-trip ticket to Europe supported by Qatar Airways.
