GLOBAL travel and events management provider ATPI is accelerating its expansion across Asia as tech and resource-driven industries become more crucial to the region’s economic growth.
With Asia’s corporate travel sector projected to grow from US$737 billion in 2024 to $848.16 billion by 2025, according to the GBTA Asia-Pacific Business Travel Forecast, ATPI is strategically deepening its presence in key markets including mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, India, and Indonesia.
“Asia’s economic dynamism and its increasingly sophisticated corporate travel needs make it a critical strategic market for us,” said Ali Hussain, managing director of ATPI Asia. “Our expanded presence enables us to be closer to our clients and respond with agility and precision.”
ATPI’s expansion is closely aligned with the region’s technological transformation and an associated rise demand for conference and executive travel.
In mainland China, the company is leveraging its expertise in AI, electric vehicles, and renewable energy to meet the growing travel demands of these fast-evolving sectors. Taiwan, with its export-led, tech-centric economy, and South Korea – ranked sixth globally in the 2024 Global Innovation Index – are also key targets for ATPI’s tech-focused travel solutions.
India is another major growth area, with ATPI opening four new offices, including one in Chennai, a hub for the country’s booming IT sector. An APTI spokesperson said these moves reflected the company’s strategy to support both local enterprises and multinational corporations with tailored, tech-enabled travel and event services.

Strategic Positioning in Indonesia
In Indonesia, ATPI has opened a new office in Balikpapan, strategically located on the island of Borneo near Nusantara – the country’s planned new capital. This location places ATPI at the heart of Indonesia’s vital oil, gas, and mining industries, sectors that are expected to see increased travel demand as infrastructure and investment in the region grow.
Sustainable Solutions
ATPI’s expansion is underpinned by its suite of advanced travel technologies and sustainability tools, the spokesperson added. These include next-generation online booking platforms, a unified travel management dashboard (Travel Hub), and Halo – its measurement and offsetting service for carbon emissions. The company also offers real-time travel alerts to help clients navigate disruptions and plan efficiently.
“Our growth underlines ATPI’s longstanding commitment to Asia’s rapidly evolving travel and events landscape,” Hussain added. “We’re not just expanding geographically – we’re aligning our strengths with the region’s future.”
ATPI said that as Asia continued to lead global economic and technological trends, the company’s strategic investments position it to be a key player in shaping the future of business and events travel across the region.
