The Banyan Tree group has celebrated the grand opening of Laguna Lang Cô in Central Vietnam. The 280-hectare property is the first project of it’s kind in Central Vietnam and the first venture into the country for Banyan Tree. Over the weekend high profile government officials, celebrities and numerous honoured guests joined the Banyan Tree Group at the resort to toast the resort’s opening.
Framed by three kilometres of beach, the hotel itself overlooks the East Sea – an area famed for pristine coastline. The Laguna Lang Cô community includes Banyan Tree and Angsana branded hotels and the discreet setting is said to offer an unparalleled level of privacy to guests. The Banyan Tree Group has indicated that it drew upon the experience of developing its flagship Thailand resort community, the Laguna Phuket, and ensures that this project expresses a similar ethos.
For conferences and meetings, the resort boasts a 392 sqm ballroom for large scale events, plus a more modest 12 person boardroom. On site is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. With one of the most dramatic settings in the region, golfers will play through rice paddy fields and woodland vistas at the foot of a mountain range.
Mr. Ho Kwon Ping, executive chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings, Ltd said: “The Grand Opening of Laguna Lang Cô is an important milestone for Banyan Tree, as it is one of our Group’s largest developments and inaugural establishment in Vietnam. With natural beauty and rich historical attractions, Central Vietnam is a perfect destination to replicate the success of our flagship integrated resort in Phuket. We are pleased to be the first to unveil this unique destination as a world-class integrated resort featuring premium private properties for ownership for both domestic and international luxury tourism.”
