Avani+ tunes into the Vientiane vibe

ORGANISERS considering Laos for events and incentive groups now have a new option following the opening of the Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel, which adds another international-standard hotel to the Lao capital’s growing hospitality market.

Located on Fa Ngum Road overlooking Chao Anouvong Park and the Mekong River, the 197-room property is Avani Hotels & Resorts’ second property in Laos and its first in Vientiane.

Dedicated meetings and events facilities include Lanexang Hall, which can accommodate up to 320 delegates, supported by additional meeting rooms and outdoor event spaces.

A spokesperson for Avani said that while some event facilities are available from opening, the full meetings and events offering will be rolled out in phases over the coming months.

Accommodation ranges from Deluxe Rooms to a Presidential Suite, with layouts intended to cater to both work and downtime. As the hotel is opening in phases, there is a selection of rooms, dining outlets, leisure facilities and meeting spaces available initially, while additional services and venues will be introduced in phases.

For organisers planning incentive activities or pre- and post-event programmes, the hotel will offer curated local experiences and personalised concierge services designed to connect visitors with Vientiane’s cultural attractions and riverside lifestyle.

Food and beverage facilities are also being introduced gradually. Mekong Mosaic is already operating as the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, while the Mediterranean-inspired Sabaidee Social is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026. Salongxay, a Thai-Lao restaurant, is set to be unveiled later this year.

The property also incorporates sustainability measures including the use of locally sourced ingredients, support for local producers and artisans, seasonal menus, efforts to reduce single-use plastics and improvements to operational practices.

With international hotel brands still relatively limited in Vientiane compared with neighbouring Southeast Asian capitals, the arrival of Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel increases the capital’s accommodation and venue inventory as planners seek more destination options in the region.
