A city hotel has joined forces with a teambuilding provider to increase the choice of activities for meeting and incentive groups.
Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong and Action Asia Events say the partnership will see group activities organised inside and outside the hotel, which is on Nathan Road in the heart of the Tsim Sha Tsui visitor and shopping area.
Micheal Maddess, the director of Action Asia Events, says: “The aim of Action Asia’s teambuilding programmes is to get employees thinking out of the box by taking them outside their comfort zones physically and mentally to improve their team work and communication and ultimately their work performance.”
Activities will include challenges such as outdoor “scavenging” tasks designed to get staff members to communicate and work together to improve team-structuring abilities and sharpen their creativity towards solving specific problems. Indoor tasks and training will be based within the hotel’s 706 sqm pillar-free ballroom that is equipped with internet connection and hi-tech lighting systems.
Daisy Leung, director of sales and marketing for Holiday Inn Golden Mile, says: “This is an imaginative and bold new direction for us to increase MICE traffic into the hotel and into Hong Kong. I believe we are one of only a few hotels in Hong Kong offering teambuilding training of this nature.
