Discover Disney’s magic with delicious free treats
Sponsored content: Free dining, merchandise discounts and more when you hold business events and incentives at Hong Kong Disneyland

30 Aug 2017

Celebrating corporate milestones and rewarding achievers are being made all the more special at Hong Kong Disneyland thanks to MEHK’s Hong Kong Rewards.

Delegates no longer have to just wish upon a star at Hong Kong Disneyland – their experience will be greatly enhanced thanks to the upgrade of Hong Kong Rewards new offer, including meals themed on Disneyland’s latest attractions and merchandise discounts.

Hong Kong Tourism Board’s MICE flagship, Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK), is building on its successful MICE hospitality programme to provide more customised experiences for groups. Thanks to new partnerships with the likes of Hong Kong Disneyland, planners can unlock the city’s marvels for their groups like never before.

The magic of Disney
Since the launch of the Hong Kong Rewards! 2017/18 programme on April 1, several business events groups have enjoyed a free dinner and shopping spree with discount vouchers at  Hong Kong Disneyland.

Delegates from Indonesia were among those who expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the experiences.

“The new free dinner and shopping voucher offer was very attractive to our clients, especially for medium-sized incentive groups,” said Johnny Mulyadi, assistant general manager of Panen Tour who led a group from Indocement.

“It’s definitely a value-adding experience for MICE groups and the free dinner was a lovely gesture. The group arrived in the evening, so free dinner was just perfect.”

“We would like to thank HKTB for their support,” said Lim Alvie Suwandie, director of PT AIM, as PIC for Indocement, one of Indonesia’s largest companies. “It was such a great experience for our top performing distributors to visit Hong Kong Disneyland together with their family. They enjoyed the free dinner, including the latest Iron Man combo sets at Starliner Diner restaurant.”

The Disney Corporate Rewards Package offers groups of 50 or more shopping discount vouchers and a complimentary dinner with a variety of international cuisines catering to different gourmet preferences.

Hong Kong Rewards!
The Hong Kong Rewards! hospitality programme sees MEHK partner with local organisations to help planners access some of the best post-conference and incentive experiences the city has to offer.

The scheme is comprehensive and designed to cover delegates from arrival through to departure, with airport pick-up and shopping and dining vouchers among the options.

Off the back of the programme’s success, the city saw a 9.9 per cent growth in MICE arrivals in 2016 and “staggering double-digital growth in a couple of our long-haul and short-haul markets”, said Kenneth Wong, general manager for the MICE and cruise division of HKTB.

Targeting greater growth, MEHK has launched a revolutionary upgrade of Hong Kong Rewards! programme, which runs until March 31, 2018, to accept groups as small as 20 pax for as little as two nights’ stay, including new experiences at Happy Valley racecourse (below) and Hong Kong Disneyland.

“To keep up the momentum, MEHK has worked even closer with industry partners to further enhance value-added experiential offers for MICE groups of all sizes, further enriching delegates’ travel itineraries and strengthening Hong Kong’s position as the preferred destination where the world chooses to meet,” said Wong.

In addition to the Disney Corporate Rewards Pakcage, the new offerings include:

Happy Wednesday
In partnership with Hong Kong Jockey Club, MEHK is offering groups of 20 or more free entry to Happy Wednesday themed carnival nights at Happy Valley racecourse (above), plus free food and beer.

Hotel cocktail receptions
Teaming up with about 50 of the city’s premier hotels has also allowed MEHK to facilitate free cocktail events for groups of over 50.

Additional perks include complimentary cultural performances at events and special privileges at Ocean Park Hong Kong and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong as well as deals at sky-high and beachfront attractions.

More information on the Hong Kong Rewards! 2017/18 programme can be found on the MEHK website.
