Leaders from Twitter, BBC, NatGeo to speak at ITB Asia
Singapore travel trade show to feature 200 speakers with strong support from MICE and corporate travel experts

ITB ASIA is set to bring 200 speakers delivering over 200 hours of discussion to the travel-trade show at Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, October 17-19.

Key speakers set to appear include Nicola Eliot, director of BBC StoryWorks APAC and BBC Global News; Arvinder Gujral, Southeast Asia managing director for Twitter; Con Apostolopoulos and Tim Jones of National Geographic Partners, Asia Pacific & Middle East, and Giri Jadhav, vice president, Asia, Ogilvy & Mather.
 
Under the conference theme Travel Reimagined, ITB Asia 2018 also promises strong support from corporate and MICE partners with new initiatives for these segments and by gathering meetings, incentives and events industry leaders at the show.

Confirmed partners and speakers for the corporate travel and MICE so far include Airbnb for Work, CWT Meetings & Events, site and Troovo, which uses Robotic Process Automation to improve cost and efficiency when buying corporate travel.

Among the new initiatives will be the launch of a new MICE Tech Showcase that will feature innovations helping to solve today’s complex issues in the MICE industry.

“We have a spectacular line-up for this year’s conference on six stages and a rich and varied content programme. This year also sees the launch of several new initiatives including a new MICE and Corporate Hub, a MICE tech showcase and a new Muslim Travel Pavilion,” says Katrina Leung, managing director of Messe Berlin (Singapore), the organiser of ITB Asia.

“This is a significant increase in exhibitor and speaker numbers and in the breadth of material being showcased at ITB Asia,” Leung adds.

To kick off the show, global leaders from Google, Microsoft and Trip.com will provide insights on the major trends that will drive change and transformation within the travel industry.

On Day Two ITB Asia 2018 will host the keynote panel session on the future of travel distribution with insights from leading OTAs and intermediaries on how they are innovating to stay ahead. The final day will see a dedicated session on the Chinese market as the panel explores ways to win over Chinese travellers and Chinese millennials.
